#BBBLOGS - The Housemates: Hit or Miss?

#BBBLOGS - The Housemates: Hit or Miss?

About a month ago Big Brother returned to UK screens. We were promised drama, we were promised entertainment, we were promised there would be "a dark force" taking over the house, but did it really work?

The simple answer to this is no. The series has been a bit of a train wreck, from the fame seeking z listers cast to be on the show, to the ridiculous "other house" concept, we have all been left wondering whether this series really is going to be the death of big brother.

Despite this, I would like to share my thoughts and opinions on every housemate, because what else do I have to do with my life. I have listed my favourites from least favourite to my favourite, and given a reason, much as they would have to in Big Brother.

Marco Pierre White JR

This poor boy's father. This boy been quite a disgrace to himself from day one. Pretty much from the start, he displayed that he has nothing going for him, other that a "hall pass" from his then girlfriend, who has since broken up with him after his antics with Laura, and a bad temper. It was no surprise to anyone but the house that he was first evicted, and to be honest, no one really seems to have missed him..

Natalie Rowe

Just a very angry woman really. She seemed to love the thrill of starting arguments for no reason, and not giving anyone the chance to argue their point of view. Her favourite sparring partners were Hughie and Jayne, but which two of the three are still in the house?

Her exit interview with Emma was beyond awkward, as she remained true to her personality, starting an argument over....yes, you guessed it, nothing!

Georgina Leigh-Cantwell

It was so, so clear from the start that Georgina was only using Jackson as he was popular with the audience (which he isn't now thanks to her!). She had a good start and she was funny, but she was just too jealous, which was inevitably her downfall.

Jason Burrell

Controversial, I expect, but I just don't think Jason is a nice person. He said a lot of stuff about Charlie to other housemates before she went into the main house, which made the other housemates presume the worst of her.

Charlie is right when she says the woman always comes off worse. For the first week, he almost seemed to be teasing her, not directly giving her an answer as to whether there is a future for the two of them. He is also the biggest game player in there, and provides little to no entertainment whatsoever.

Andy West

I don't really dislike Andy as I do the previous 4 housemates, I just do not like the way that he can't let go of something. What even was his argument as to why he was offended when Ryan and Hughie pretended to be engaged? He also just seems to be a bit of a moaner, constantly sharing his thoughts and complaints on others in the diary room.

Despite this, he at least does have an IQ, and was very funny at his fake history task.

Alex Cannon

Who is this again?  Oh yes, Alex. Thing is, we've barely seen him, we've only heard his low murmur of a voice. I don't really understand why so many people like him, yes he's got his looks, but he just seems to have very little personality.

Perhaps he will perk up in the weeks to come, but now, if he were to leave, I don't think it would make much of a difference.

Charlie Doherty

I think Charlie had potential to be a great housemate, but she just couldn't seem to stop her feelings for Jason. I think her best moment was on launch night, when Big Brother forgot to tell her to take her mask off, leaving poking a but of a numpty.

Andrew Tate

Andrew was the only housemate who was actually playing the game smart, suggesting to the others that they put the most popular housemates in th  other house, on the first "eviction". It was however right that he was removed, due to his behaviour outside of the house.

I think he would of been a great housemate if he was still there, however, he cannot get away with tweeting the things he tweeted, therefore good riddance!

Ryan Ruckledge

On his own, I can't say I like Ryan much. I knew of him from X Factor, when he was booted off for being drunk at bootcamp, and controversially tweeting a few nasty things about Luke A (and not being removed despite Andrew was).

He does provide a lot of entertainment with his Nikki Grahame style tantrums and double act with Hughie, and will probably get to the final.

Jackson Blyton

Gangsta Jackson met a girl called Georgina. Gangsta Jackson got told he wasn't allowed to even look at other girls whilst with Georgina. Gangsta Jackson had a funny tantrum and cried a bit when Georgina left.

Man is getting angry a lot now innit especially over the lickle tings, and perhaps man should cool down a bit.

Chelsea Singh

The self made millionaire is rich, and he's not shy to tell anyone. Chelsea can be very funny, and played the role of CEO of BBCorp well, but is just a little bit too self conceited.

The public seem to hate him, because of the way he treats Jayne, I would guess. I think he is very patronising towards her, and just needs to stop talking about her as if she were some obsessed fan. We all know you both got together, so just admit it Chelse.

Laura Carter

Laura has definitely given me some chuckles, yet everyone still sees her as a bit of a b*tch. I can't forget her "thing" with Marco, although she did believe that they were in an open relationship.

Even so, I would never go with someone asked partner, especially not on live TV.

Sam Giffin

Sam can come up with some great one liners, as well as the unforgettable pink boxers doorknob-hold picture.

He's quite sly with the way he talks about people, choosing only the people he trusts to b*tch to.

 Jayne Connery

I actually really like diva Jayne, especially when she explodes in the diary room (she just wants bread and tea!)

She's also being very civil to Chelsea despite the way he is treating her. I would love to see her in the final, although I think he will be next out.

Lateysha Grace

She is definitely one of the funniest ones in there, and is almost definitely a finalist already. She does seem to have an opinion on almost Everything, but somehow manages not to get into trouble for b*tching?

Hughie Maughan

Loudmouth Hughie has been entertaining from day one, shouting his way though life in the big brother house. I don't think there's one person in the house he hasn't had an argument with, yet I still like him.

His bromance (or more?) With Ryan is providing great entertainment, and I'm thinking they're both going or go to the final.

Emma and Victoria Jensen

When Emma and Victoria first when in, they had a lot of energy (although committed a fashion crime with those matching leotards) however, when Victoria chose to leave, Emma got a bit boring.

Before she was a bit selfish, having an extra night with her boyfriend, I really liked her, as she seemed to be the most calmed person there, not really getting involved in anything, yet remaining true to herself (until she cracked, and broke the door for a second time, leading to her removal)

Evelyn Ellis

Why am I alone here? I think Evelyn is awesome, yet NO ONE else seems to like her! She has some great one liners, and I feel like she  being slightly led on by Alex, who clearly doesn't like, yet will happily snuggle with her. I really want her to make it to the final, but the way things are heading, I don't think she will :(

Who do you like/dislike in the house?
