Why The UK Will Never Win Eurovision

Why The UK Will Never Win Eurovision

On Monday, the BBC revealed the six hopefuls who will be competing in "Eurovision - You Decide" on Friday, in a bid to represent the UK in the Eurovision Song contest which is to be held in Kiev in Ukraine.

To say the least, I'm not impressed.

Open your mouth if you didn't win X Factor!

It's all very well the UK finally giving the public the chance to decide who represents the country, after numerous failed attempts with the likes of Englebert Humperdinck, Bonnie Tyler and um, Electro Velvet, but if they are going to give us the power, they need to shortlist a variety of music.

You'd think that "Industry professionals" would be able to pick a bigger variety, rather than 6 X Factor rejects..

I can remember only 2 of the songs, Salena's "Put Down Your Weapons" and Daryl's "Light Up The World" as they're the only ones that are uptempo, and have a bit of colour and character to them.

The rest are Jamie-Lee "Ghost" songs, dull and lifeless, and will definitely score us 0 points.
