Celebrity Big Brother - Pop Goes Austin!

Celebrity Big Brother - Pop Goes Austin!

The 2017 edition of CBB is well under way, with the 14 housemates settling in nicely to the 24 hour surveillance lifestyle. Along the way, we had #Watergate, nominations, and a new arrival, bumping up the numbers of the happy house to 15.

Watergate was sadly the only twinge of drama we've really had this week, which began with Speidi hiding a number of water bottles under their bed, just because they're Speidi. Austin, already somewhat emotionally unstable due to events outside of the house was the first to erupt, slightly dramatising the situation, and claiming Big Brother will be sending the housemates to bed thirsty.

Ever seen one of these Austin?

I would agree with Austin here, however, recently I've heard of these brand new devices, that give you unlimited water to quench your thirst at any point. I believe they are called something along the lines of tops, or tapes..

Friday also saw the return of X Factor rejects turned Eurovision hopefuls Jedward, who have most recently been chilling in Valetta for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, invited as "expert panelists" who helped to decide the eventual winner of the competition, my thoughts of which can be found here:

As they did on JESC in case anyone was wondering (I'm sure you weren't), they performed one of their new singles, "Holograms" to the existing housemates, which I'm sure they loved, but not before throwing themselves down stairs and off stage, causing Jedward to actually be separated, as Edward required treatment at hospital.

These guys are definitely music experts...

In other news, nominations finally took place, resulting in Stacy, Angie, Speidi, Ray J and Austin being put on the block. James C also faces eviction, after being killer nominated by Angie and Jamie.

Overall, I think nominations are fair, with Angie looking the most likely to get the chop, although if I had it all my way, I would put Nicola and Jamie up in the place of Ray J and Stacy (the producers have got to get their money's worth on these international housemates!) as she's only making herself look dumb by flirting with Jamie, and he is being a complete tool, which doesn't really surprise me.

My favourites so far are definitely Speidi and James, due to their ability to wind anyone up, yet pass it off as friendly banter. They are the kick up the bum this series really needs, and are currently one of the only sources of telly-worthy entertainment.

Jedward are also housemates to keep an eye on, as I'm sure their wacky antics will drive other housemates up the wall soon enough.
